"The hole in his heart is killing him every second. We need your help to save our son." Hi , It has been 2 years since my son, Chirag was diagnosed with a heart disease and since then I am struggling to save him. When he was born he struggled to breathe and his body would turn blue from time to time, we were not sure what this meant. When the doctors informed us that he had a hole in his heart our entire world came to a standstill. He was admitted to the hospital twice for his surgery and was discharged without being operated, because, we did not have enough funds for his surgery. My incapability to pay for his treatment has made me helpless and I am left with no other option but to ask for help from you all. His operation cost is Rs. 4.5 lakh ($ 6,565). I am nowhere close to collecting this huge amount.  My baby seemed fine and healthy until he turned 4 months old. We took him to the doctor when his body was burning with high fever. Upon reaching the hospital the doctors were suspicious and performed certain tests to be sure. The tests results were unexpected and shook us completely. We repeatedly kept saying, “How can a 4-month old baby have a hole in his heart?” Later we realized that this disease is common in a lot of newborn babies, but we couldn’t come to terms with the fact that our baby was affected.
