"Help 9-year-old Gauri fight TB & Heart problem" Hi , My name is Valji Vaghela and I live with my wife and kids in Gujarat. When my wife delivered Gauri, it was the best day of our lives. Our family was complete with her arrival. When my baby girl turned 6, she fell sick with a high fever, she had a constant cold and her body was shaking because of breathlessness. With medicines it got cured but not permanently, the fever kept recurring, and each time it took longer to cure. One day, she felt very sick and began writhing in pain. We took her to a local physician who examined her and told us, she had a heart defect and her life was in danger.  After we found out about Gauri’s disease, without wasting any time, we traveled to Ahmedabad for her treatment where she underwent a surgery and bounced back to life. To fund her operation, I borrowed money from relatives and friends and was financially drained, but happy that she had made a recovery and was back home with us. Due to lack of funds I could not send Gauri back to school and she got busy helping her mom with household chores at home.
